A History Of Successful Relationships
Founders Peter L. Gladstone and Jeffrey A. Weissman met in 1994 when Jeff was a recent law school graduate and Peter was a sixth-year associate at the noted firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A., in Fort Lauderdale. In November 1997, Peter left to found The Law Offices of Peter L. Gladstone, P.A., and just two years later, Peter and Jeff joined forces to form Gladstone & Weissman, P.A. In 2023, Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A. was formed when the David L. Hirschberg, who was with the firm from 2008-2016, rejoined the firm in 2023, along with Denise L. Schneider who has been with the firm since 2007.
The spirit of collegiality that characterized our firm’s earliest days has been maintained and cultivated throughout the years. To a large measure, our firm’s longevity and success are directly tied to its own brand of law firm culture, which focuses on the pragmatic achievement of its clients’ goals. We still maintain that listening to our clients and understanding their concerns enable us to better counsel and advise them.

Divorce, by its very nature, is a difficult, unpleasant, and often traumatic experience. Mine was no different. When the papers were finally signed, I had been married for 40 years. Those years had been financially rewarding and dividing up of the assets was not going to be easy. The children were all grown and were productive members of the workforce so at least we didn’t have that issue. Nonetheless, it took four years from the time we separated to conclude the matter. Two and a half years to even get to the point of hiring a lawyer and then almost one and a half years to finalize.
