Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.a. Principal Peter L. Gladstone Quoted in Newsweek Regarding New Divorce Legislation

We are pleased to share the news that Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A. Principal Peter L. Gladstone was recently tapped to provide a quote for a May 29, 2015 Newsweek article concerning how divorce laws are becoming more strict in some states. The online version of the article (which has a different title than the print version) was posted on May 17, 2015.

The article, titled “The Ex Factor” in print, discusses how over 12 states have recently introduced bills making it more difficult to get a divorce. Some states are even developing new laws requiring counseling courses for parents trying to divorce.

These laws have become quite controversial, as divorce can be very emotional to begin with. Additional mandates can add to those emotions. Mr. Gladstone was quoted as saying, “Perhaps more than any other area of the law, divorce invokes the most basic of human emotions: fear, anger and pain.”

All of us at Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A. are proud of Mr. Gladstone for being featured in this highly acclaimed national publication! Newsweek has been providing the latest news globally for over 80 years. With over 100,000 weekly readers for the print edition, and over 612,000 monthly viewers online, Newsweek has provided Mr. Gladstone with the chance to share his views with a nationwide audience!
